The 3800 ha reserve has magnificent views of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains and offers close encounters with nature’s fiercest predators as well as the more gentle species and birdlife.

Tshukudu, where exclusivity is assured, covers 3800 ha of prime bushveld and is situated close to Hoedspruit town in the Limpopo Province and Greater Kruger area of South Africa. Your home away from home!

Tshukudu Game Lodge is a 4 star, full board safari lodge, where guests are accommodated in 18 individually decorated chalets. We also have 2 additional units available for either self-catering or full board accommodation.

Tshukudu, being a Big 5 Game Reserve, provides the opportunity to spot a vast range of wild animals such as Bushbuck, Buffalo, Cheetah, Crocodile, Duiker, Elephant, Eland, Giraffe, Hippo, Impala, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Leopard, Steenbuck, White Rhino, Waterbuck, Wildebeest and Zebra as well as many other species. Not to mention the abundant flora and birdlife.

Since we opened in 1979, Tshukudu Game Reserve has restocked many other reserves in South Africa with wild animals and has been actively involved in the rehabilitation of orphaned animals back to the wild. We are involved in the public education and environmental awareness of our natural heritage, and our main priority is the protection of Rhinos. "Tshukudu" means Rhino in seSotho or seTswana (native African Language).
